2000 323i just like all my previous bmw's but much worst is the old car smell. I assume it to be the upholstery breakdown or outgassing. This car has it in clouds. Outside of upholstery replacement any way to kill the outgassing. Hmmmm I can see where there is the opportunity for many humorous and offensive statements equal to the odor
