Hi all.
Virgin user here. My 1st post but I do enjoy reading and learning from all the others. I have a 1996 328ic, love the car but it is scaring me now. In the morning when I 1st start it up it revs to around 3 to 3500 and stays there for anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds and then drops down to the normal 2000. This has been going on for over a month and I have not found the answer I need to fix the problem. All I get is," it might be this or thats weird". lotta help that is, mean while my car is going to blow up. so when all else fails....go to the experts. It only does this first thing in the morning or afternoon or whenever I start it. The 1st start of the day. Outdoor temp. makes no difference. So I ask you feE llow great car drivers,.......Help me save my car, please.
