Hi...I have a 2001 320i petrol Touring Automatic. The car regularly cuts out about once every week. I can see no obvious correlation between speed, whether the fuel tank is empty or full, gradient or whether accelerating or decelerating. If anything it generally stalls at lower speeds when slowing down such as when stopping for traffic lights, or cornering. It has been to the local garage mechanic (..a decent bloke who has always been reliable) who cleaned out the throttle body remembering that ...

Hello There

I bought a New BMW 116i Sports in Oct 2009 (new series with 2 Litre Engine). BMW promises a whopping 49 MPG on this car. I understand this is unrealistic but I expected anywhere between 35 and 40 on a regular basis. But to my disappointment I am getting 28 dot and its dropping now even further. Dealer says this is a problem with this car. But I am just wondering how can BMW cheat people like this? How could they say 49 and the real figure is no where near this? I cannot afford ...

Hi. If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful. My battery was flat, I foolishly removed it and when I put a good battery on it, the immobiliser started to work. It was inoperative until then, now I've got dash lights but it will not turn over. It's an L registration 5 series diesel, if it had a key fob thingy to disarm the immobiliser, it doesn't anymore, it started nicely with standard keys until I started playing around with it!.

Like I say, I'd be very grateful for any advice.

Thanks
